Having trouble with your Doro phone?

Before arranging a repair, try the steps below. Many common problems can be resolved quickly without sending your phone away.

Check your device after each step. If the problem has been resolved, you don't need to continue.

1. Restart your phone

Switch your phone off, wait around 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

A simple restart can often resolve temporary performance, connection or software issues.

2. Check for software updates

Make sure your phone is running the latest available software.

Software updates can include performance improvements, security updates and fixes for known issues.

You can find instructions for your device in its user manual or our Smartphone FAQs.

3. Reboot your device

If restarting hasn't helped, you can try rebooting your phone.

For smartphones with a non-removable battery, follow the Reboot the phone instructions in your product manual or FAQ.

If your phone has a removable battery:

  1. Switch the phone off.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Wait a few minutes.
  4. Reinsert the battery.
  5. Switch the phone back on.

4. Reset your phone to factory settings

If the problem continues, a factory reset may help resolve more persistent software issues.

Before you continue: A factory reset will erase data stored on your device. This may include photos, contacts, settings and downloaded apps.

Make sure you back up anything you want to keep before resetting your phone.

Full reset instructions can be found in your product manual.

Arranging a repair

If our troubleshooting steps haven't resolved the problem, contact the Doro support team. We'll help diagnose the issue and, where appropriate, explain how to register and send your device to our repair centre.

What to have ready before contacting us

Before contacting us, it's helpful to have the following ready so we can better assist you:

  • Your Doro model
  • Your device serial number
  • Your IMEI number
  • Your proof of purchase
  • A brief description of the problem
Finding your IMEI number

On most Doro phones, you can display the IMEI number by entering:

*#06#

If your Doro phone has a removable back cover, you may also find the IMEI printed on the label underneath the battery.

The serial number and IMEI can usually also be found on the original product packaging.

Before sending us your device

Before sending your Doro device to our repair centre, there are a few important things you should do.

Back up your data

Back up any photos, contacts or other information you want to keep.

Data stored on your device may be erased during the repair process. We therefore recommend backing up your information before sending your device.

You can find backup instructions in your product manual.

Remove your SIM and memory card

Remove your SIM card and, if applicable, your SD or memory card before sending your device.

Please do not include these cards in your repair package.

Remove screen locks and passwords

Remove any screen lock, device PIN or password before sending your phone.

Our repair technicians need to be able to access and test the device during the repair process.

Keep your repair information

Keep your repair confirmation, registration details and proof of postage until your repair has been completed.

This information may be needed to track your repair or if you need to contact us about its progress.

Pack your device carefully

Pack your device securely to help protect it during transport.

Follow the packaging instructions provided when your repair is arranged and include a copy of your proof of purchase if requested.
